The Global Sikkoo Mandoo Foundation
An independent non-profit, a non-political and nonreligious global umbrella organization of membership-based voluntary community organizations
OBJECTIVES
1. Recognition and Promotion of Historical and Cultural Heritage
The foundation shall recognize the rich historical, social, economic, cultural, environmental, and linguistic values and assets of the communities and their contributions to the society and create
opportunities for further development and distribution as their part and parcel, collective endeavor for national enhancement.
2. Resource Mobilization and Development
The foundation shall mobilize and develop reliable financial and human resources required to achieve its objectives and execute various programs and projects to be developed in this regard.
3. Poverty Reduction, Development, Disaster Reliefand Rehabilitation
The foundation shall support, undertake, or commission various development and disaster relief and rehabilitation projects to assist the communities to help them prepare for moments of natural and
economic downturns.
4. Communications and Public Relations
The foundation shall develop quality programming to promote its mission and build and maintain reverent image of the communities through effective and efficient use of modern communications media including seminars, workshops, and conferences, publications (newsletters, books, book chapters, articles, and proceedings), radio, TV, social media, and other appropriate communications channels.
5. Networking, Coordination and PromotingCommunity’s Causes
The foundation shall create strong networks of community organizations and coordinate their efforts, build their capacities to effectively engage in multi-faceted collective national endeavors, and advocate for the achievement of higher-level goals advancing strengthening their well-being and raising issues affecting them. The foundation shall also raise promote issues affecting their national interests. The foundation shall coordinate the community interests in all forums, and in collaboration
with national and international humanitarian and development partners that could support and contribute to the achievement of such purposes.
6. Support for Peace, Security and Human Rights
The foundation shall advocate for protection of human and democratic rights of the communities including their freedom of expression and peaceful protest against injustice, instability, insecurity, and
discriminations.
7. Organizational Development
The foundation shall strengthen the grassroots of the Global Sikkoo-Mando Foundation and harness their efforts at a global level.
